Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (16 Tbsp; 226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup (30g) confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, confectioners' sugar, honey or maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the ingredients together until smooth, creamy, and well combined.
- Taste and adjust cinnamon or sweetness if desired.
- Transfer to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature with rolls, biscuits, pancakes, or bread.
Notes
Use unsalted butter softened to room temperature for best texture. Maple syrup adds a warm flavor ideal for fall and winter, while honey offers a floral sweetness. Refrigerate to keep the butter firm and flavorful.
