Zucchini Grilled Cheese

A delicious twist on classic grilled cheese with added zucchini for extra flavor and nutrition.

For the Crust:

  • 4 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 medium zucchini, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice and sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper.
  3. Layer cheese and zucchini slices between two bread slices, buttered sides facing out.
  4. Grill each sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Repeat for the second sandwich and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
