Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies

Festive chocolate chip cookies with a snowy appearance, perfect for holiday gatherings and cookie exchanges.

For the Crust:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips for snowy effect
  • Coarse sugar or edible glitter for decoration (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, beating well.
  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and white chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheets. Sprinkle with coarse sugar or edible glitter if desired.
  6. Bake 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
