For the Crust:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips for snowy effect
- Coarse sugar or edible glitter for decoration (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, beating well.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and white chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheets. Sprinkle with coarse sugar or edible glitter if desired.
- Bake 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
