Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Holiday sprinkles, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. Set the bowl aside.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until all of the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Gently fold in both the white chocolate chips and semisweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the dough.
- Use a cookie scoop (or spoon) to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- If adding holiday sprinkles, place the sprinkles in a small bowl and roll the cookie balls into the sprinkles, then add to the baking sheets.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough balls for 15–30 minutes before baking. Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
