Vegan Chocolate Cake

A rich and moist chocolate cake made without any animal products, perfect for vegans and chocolate lovers alike.

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add water, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
