Tropical Bliss Pineapple Fritters

Crispy golden fritters bursting with sweet pineapple and warm spices, perfect for a tropical-inspired dessert or snack.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, finely diced
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Gently fold in diced pineapple. Let batter rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of batter into hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
