			- 2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Beat the unsalted butter in a mixing bowl on high speed for about 2 minutes until very light and creamy.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract; mix on medium speed until combined.
- Gradually add the flour and baking powder; mix just until incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart as they will spread.
- Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, until the bottoms are light brown but the tops remain light.
- Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes, then dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm.
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
Notes
For best results, use softened butter and do not overmix the dough to keep the cookies tender. Dusting with powdered sugar while warm creates the classic snowball appearance. Store in an airtight container with waxed paper between layers to maintain freshness.
