Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread

A moist and nutty pecan bread with a hint of sweetness, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chopped pecans.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
