For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cubed
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, remaining sugar, salt, and flour. Knead into a smooth dough. Let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened cream cheese and strawberry jam evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into 8 pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
- Combine brown sugar, flour, and cold butter to make the crumble. Sprinkle over rolls.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly before serving.
