Strawberry Cream Cheese Crumble Rolls

Soft and fluffy rolls filled with sweet strawberry cream cheese and topped with a buttery crumble.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, remaining sugar, salt, and flour. Knead into a smooth dough. Let rise for 1 hour.
  3. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened cream cheese and strawberry jam evenly over the dough.
  4. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 8 pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  5. Combine brown sugar, flour, and cold butter to make the crumble. Sprinkle over rolls.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
