Homemade Snickers Bars

These Snickers Bars are pure decadence with layers of chocolate, nougat, peanuts, caramel, and a final chocolate coating, creating a rich and indulgent treat.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 50 minutes
  • Yield: 24 bars 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¼ cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 7 ounces marshmallow fluff
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 14 ounce bag of caramels
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Melt the milk chocolate chips and 1/3 cup peanut butter in a microwavable bowl at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a foil-lined and sprayed 9×13 inch pan, spreading evenly. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to harden.
  3. In a medium pan, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. Add sugar and milk, stirring until dissolved. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in marshmallow fluff, 1/3 cup peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in peanuts.
  5. Spread the nougat mixture evenly over the hardened chocolate layer. Cool completely.
  6. In a small saucepan, cook caramels and heavy whipping cream over low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring until smooth.
  7. Pour the caramel layer over the nougat layer and allow to cool completely.
  8. Melt remaining chocolate and peanut butter mixture and pour over the caramel layer, spreading evenly.
  9. Refrigerate the assembled bars for at least 1-2 hours until firm.
  10. Remove from pan by lifting foil, cut into bars, and serve.

Notes

Patience is key as each layer needs to cool and harden before adding the next. Use foil to line the pan for easy removal. For best texture, refrigerate bars thoroughly before cutting.
