Scallion Chicken

A flavorful and aromatic chicken dish with fresh scallions and a savory sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, sliced
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped (separate white and green parts)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the white parts of the scallions, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Stir well to coat the chicken.
  4. Add water, reduce heat to medium, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Stir in the green parts of the scallions and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Serve hot over rice.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
