For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls, split and toasted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Season beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Preheat oven to broil. Place toasted hoagie rolls on a baking sheet.
- Divide the beef mixture among the rolls. Top with caramelized onions and both types of cheese.
- Broil for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.
