Salted Caramel Banana Bread

A moist and flavorful banana bread with a rich salted caramel swirl, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt for topping

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half the salted caramel sauce over the batter. Repeat with remaining batter and caramel.
  5. Use a knife to swirl the caramel into the batter. Sprinkle sea salt on top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before slicing.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
