- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return cooked shrimp to the skillet, add red pepper flakes, and toss to coat. Add cooked fettuccine and toss until well combined and heated through. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
