- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla, and red food coloring.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chunks.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
