Pumpkin Honey Bun Cake

A moist and spiced pumpkin cake swirled with a sweet honey-cinnamon filling, topped with a warm glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. In a small bowl, mix honey, melted butter, and cinnamon. Drizzle over cake batter and swirl with a knife.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Drizzle over warm cake before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
