For the Crust:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and mashed bananas.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the banana mixture, alternating with milk. Fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
