			For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Alternately add flour mixture and milk to butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in diced apples.
- Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze. Drizzle over cooled cake before serving.
