Luscious Cinnamon Streusel Pear Muffins

Deliciously moist pear muffins topped with a crunchy cinnamon streusel, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups diced ripe pears
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for streusel)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for streusel)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for streusel)
  • 2 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cubed (for streusel)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in diced pears. Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
  5. For the streusel, mix brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over muffin batter.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
