Luscious Chocolate Pecan Cake

A rich and decadent chocolate cake loaded with crunchy pecans, perfect for dessert lovers.

For the Crust:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Fold in chopped pecans.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
