For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla, milk, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until creamy. Spread over cooled cake.
