Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups pecans, in pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl or standing mixer combine the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 sticks of butter. Mix well. The mixture will be dry and crumbly.
- In a large pan, preferably 10×15, grease the bottom of the pan or use parchment paper to line. Pour the crust mixture onto the pan and press firmly to create a crust. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
- In a separate bowl, or standing mixer with bowl, combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans; mix well. Set aside until the crust is done baking.
- After 10 minutes, remove the crust from the oven.
- Pour the prepared pecan filling mixture on top of the hot crust. Use a spatula or spoon to distribute evenly.
- Place back in the oven. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Let cool and serve.
