Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk (whole milk or a plant-based option)
- honey or sugar (optional, adjust according to taste)
- vanilla extract (optional, to enhance flavor)
Instructions
- Steep the Lavender: Heat water in a small saucepan or a teapot and add the dried lavender. Steep for about 5 minutes.
- Add Honey: Add honey to your teacups.
- Strain: After steeping, strain the lavender using a fine mesh sieve or a tea strainer to remove the buds, leaving you with a beautifully infused lavender tea. Stir well to dissolve the honey.
- Add the Milk: Gently heat milk just until it begins to steam. Avoid boiling to maintain the smooth texture of the milk. You can also froth the milk for a cafe-style drink. Then pour the milk into the teacups.
- Serve: Enjoy your soothing lavender milk tea while it’s hot! Or pour over ice for a refreshing iced version.
