Jenna’s Five Star Rolls

Jenna’s Five Star Rolls are soft, fluffy, and buttery dinner rolls that are perfect for any occasion. These rolls are made with simple ingredients and are known for their tender crumb and golden crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down dough and divide into 16 equal pieces. Shape each into a ball and place in greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  7. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and brush tops with melted butter.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush rolls with garlic butter. Rolls can be made ahead and reheated before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
