For the Crust:
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup dried cherries, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt. Fold in chopped cherries and walnuts (if using).
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
- Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.
