For the Crust:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix sugar, flour, cocoa powder, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in chopped walnuts if using.
- Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
- Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
