- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, butter, and vanilla extract.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, and bring the mixture to a boil; boil for 1 minute without breaking the stirring to prevent burning.
- Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar until smooth.
- Stir in the chopped pecans thoroughly.
- Drop heaping spoonfuls of the praline mixture onto the prepared parchment paper.
- Allow the pralines to cool and harden for approximately 30 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
Notes
Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease removal. Stir continuously during cooking to avoid burning. Ensure the pralines cool completely before storing for best texture.
