Cream Cheese and Sausage Stuffed Crescents

Savory crescent rolls filled with a creamy mixture of cooked sausage and cream cheese, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • Total Time: 26 minutes
  • Yield: 8 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sausage links
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 triangles per can)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Crumble sausage links into bite-size pieces in a large skillet; cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until done, stirring frequently. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine cooked sausage, cream cheese, and crushed red pepper; mix well.
  4. Separate each can of crescent dough into 8 triangles.
  5. Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly onto the short side of each dough triangle, about 2 tablespoons per triangle.
  6. Roll up each triangle starting at the short side and place on a baking sheet with the point side down.
  7. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the crushed red pepper or add chopped jalapeños. Drain the sausage well to avoid soggy crescents. These can be prepared ahead and baked fresh.
