Homemade Green Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies with a fun green twist, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any festive occasion.

For the Crust:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 teaspoons green food coloring
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and green food coloring, mixing well.
  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
