For the Crust:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (15 oz) peach pie filling
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes.
- Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake. Spoon peach pie filling over the cake, spreading evenly to fill the holes.
- In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the cake.
- Bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the topping is golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
