Heavenly Golden Nun’s Puffs

Light and airy golden puffs with a crispy exterior and soft interior, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour, salt, and sugar until a dough forms.
  3. Let the dough cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Spoon the dough into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup halfway.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until puffed and golden. Do not open the oven during baking.
  6. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
