For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp soy sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 oval patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1 minute.
- Gradually add beef broth and soy sauce, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and return patties to the skillet.
- Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes until gravy thickens and patties are cooked through. Serve hot.
