For the Crust:
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 2 cups crispy rice cereal
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in flour and salt until combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot crust and let sit for 2 minutes to melt. Spread evenly with a spatula.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the chocolate layer, then sprinkle crispy rice cereal on top, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars. Refrigerate for 30 minutes for cleaner slices.
