For the Crust:
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 oz) jar caramel sauce
- 1 (12 oz) container coconut pecan frosting
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Prepare cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While cake is still warm, poke holes all over the top using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, followed by caramel sauce, allowing them to seep into the holes.
- Let cake cool completely, then spread coconut pecan frosting over the top.
- Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped pecans over the frosting.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
