Juicy and flavorful broiled lobster tails basted with garlic lemon butter sauce, perfect for a decadent dinner.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lobster tails (56 oz each)
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed or minced
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to broil on high. Position rack so lobster tails are 6 inches from heat. Butterfly tails by cutting top shell lengthwise, pull meat up over shell.
  2. In a small bowl, mix parsley, garlic, dijon mustard, salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice. Brush half over lobster tails. Dot with 2 Tbsp butter.
  3. Broil 8-10 minutes until opaque and shells are bright red. Melt remaining 2 Tbsp butter with pan drippings for dipping sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use kitchen shears for easy butterflying. Check internal temperature reaches 140°F. For larger tails, broil further from heat to avoid burning. Reserve extra sauce for dipping.
