Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes

A delicious twist on classic sloppy joes, served on toasted garlic bread for extra flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 garlic bread slices or buns
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for bread)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. While the mixture simmers, prepare the garlic bread. Spread butter on each slice and sprinkle with garlic powder. Toast until golden brown.
  5. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the toasted garlic bread slices and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
