Easy Roasted Pears with Blue Cheese, Walnuts and Honey

A simple yet elegant appetizer or dessert featuring roasted pears topped with creamy blue cheese, crunchy walnuts, and a drizzle of honey.

For the Crust:

  • 2 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place pear halves cut side up on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and roast for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  3. Remove pears from oven and let cool slightly. Top each pear half with blue cheese crumbles and walnuts.
  4. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with black pepper. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.
  5. Serve warm as an appetizer or dessert.
