Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies topped with Reese’s, melted chocolate, and candy eyes, these peanut butter spider cookies are both easy and fun to make. The perfect Halloween dessert for your next party!

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 24 mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 48 candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together peanut butter, sugar, and egg until well combined.
  3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  5. Immediately after removing from oven, press a mini Reese's into the center of each cookie.
  6. Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet.
  7. Using melted chocolate, pipe spider legs from the Reese's to the edge of the cookie.
  8. Attach candy eyes to the Reese's with a dab of melted chocolate.
  9. Let chocolate set before serving.

Notes

For best results, use creamy peanut butter rather than natural style. Allow cookies to cool completely before adding chocolate legs to prevent melting. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
