Easy Peanut Butter Spider Cookies

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies topped with Reese’s, melted chocolate, and candy eyes, these peanut butter spider cookies are both easy and fun to make. The perfect Halloween dessert for your next party!

  • Total Time: 30 mins
  • Yield: 24 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 24 mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 48 candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together peanut butter, sugar, and egg until well combined.
  3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cookies are set and lightly golden around edges.
  5. Immediately press a mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cup into the center of each cookie while still warm.
  6. Allow cookies to cool completely on baking sheet.
  7. Using melted chocolate, pipe spider legs from the Reese's cup outward onto the cookie.
  8. Attach two candy eyes to each Reese's cup with a small dot of melted chocolate.
  9. Let chocolate set before serving.

Notes

For best results, use creamy peanut butter rather than natural style. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. If chocolate legs are too runny, let melted chocolate cool slightly before piping.
