Easy Homemade Beef Lo Mein

A quick and flavorful beef lo mein dish that’s perfect for weeknight dinners.

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large pan over high heat. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. Add remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry garlic, broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return beef to the pan. Add cooked noodles and sauce mixture. Toss everything together and cook for 2 more minutes.
  6. Garnish with red pepper flakes if desired and serve hot.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
