Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1 inch bite-sized pieces
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 4 tablespoons butter, cut into pats
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Cut the steak into 1 inch bites, discarding any pieces of fat or gristle
- Place the steak in the bottom of a crock pot
- Cover with au jus gravy mix and onion soup mix, then place the pats of butter on top
- Pour the beef broth over the steak
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours
Notes
Any cut of steak works, but sirloin is recommended for affordability. Even tougher cuts will tenderize during the long cooking time. Optional garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
