  • 3 large apples, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch wedges
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon apple pie spice
  • 5 tablespoons ground cinnamon, divided
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Olive oil nonstick cooking spray

  6. Dredge apple wedges in the egg mixture.
  7. Return wedges to the flour mixture container and shake again to coat a second time.

  10. Spray the top of the apples with olive oil spray and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over them.
  11. Air fry at 350°F for 6 minutes.
  12. Flip the apple wedges, spray again with olive oil spray, and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar.
  13. Air fry for an additional 6 minutes until crispy and golden.
  14. Serve warm with caramel sauce or powdered sugar glaze if desired.

Notes

For best results, use firm apples like Gala or Honeycrisp. The double coating ensures a crispy texture. Serve immediately for optimal crispness or reheat briefly in the air fryer.
