Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pork chops
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Seasoned salt, to taste
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Season pork chops on both sides with seasoned salt.
- Add oil and butter to a frying pan over medium-high heat. Sear both sides of the pork chops until browned, then remove from pan.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the pan to deglaze, scraping up brown bits. Add crushed garlic and thyme, cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, return pork chops to the pan. Cook for 5-10 minutes until sauce thickens and pork is fully cooked.
- Taste and adjust seasonings with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Best served over buttered egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread. Use pork chops no thicker than 1/2 inch for even cooking; pound thicker ones if needed. Fresh thyme can substitute dried for enhanced flavor.
