Creamy Cajun Sausage Ravioli

A rich and flavorful dish combining spicy Italian sausage, bell peppers, and a creamy Cajun-seasoned sauce tossed with cheese ravioli.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp Mrs. Dash Ultimate Garlic Blend (or your favorite garlic seasoning)
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama seasoning (or Cajun seasoning of choice)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
  • ¼ cup beef broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (Asiago or Romano also work!)
  • 25 oz bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage, bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook until the sausage is browned and veggies are softened.
  2. Sprinkle in garlic blend, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to coat everything in those bold flavors.
  3. Pour in broth and heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts into a smooth, creamy sauce.
  4. Cook ravioli according to package directions. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water before draining.
  5. Stir ravioli and reserved pasta water into the skillet. Toss gently until coated in sauce.
  6. Let it simmer on low 10–15 minutes to thicken. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve hot with extra Parmesan and a sprinkle of fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, use spicy Italian sausage and adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred heat level. Simmering the ravioli in the sauce helps the flavors meld and the sauce thicken nicely.
