Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices sourdough or crusty bread
- ¼ cup cranberry sauce
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 ounces brie cheese, thinly sliced
- 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- ½ teaspoon flakey sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Butter one side of each bread slice. Spread cranberry sauce on the unbuttered side of 4 slices.
- Layer brie and mozzarella cheese on top of the cranberry sauce, dividing evenly between sandwiches, then add a pinch of flakey salt if using. Top each with a remaining bread slice (butter side up).
- Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches for 3-5 minutes per side until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use leftover cranberry sauce for best flavor. Add arugula or sliced jalapeños for extra crunch and heat. Press down gently on the sandwich while cooking for even melting.
