Cotton Candy Cookies

Colorful, fun, and sweet cookies with a cotton candy flavor that kids and adults will love.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cotton candy flavored baking chips
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup crushed cotton candy (for topping)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  4. Fold in cotton candy baking chips and rainbow sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and immediately press crushed cotton candy onto the tops of the warm cookies.
  7. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
