For the Crust:
- 24 Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Additional powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Carefully twist apart Oreos and spread a small amount of cheesecake mixture on one side, then sandwich back together. Repeat for all cookies.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, and 1 tbsp oil to create a smooth batter.
- Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C). Dip each stuffed Oreo into the batter, coating completely, then fry in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
