Cinnamon Donut Bread

A deliciously moist bread with the flavors of a cinnamon sugar donut, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for topping)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. While bread is baking, mix sugar and cinnamon for the topping in a small bowl.
  6. Once bread is done, let it cool for 5 minutes, then brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
