For the Crust:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared dish.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining 2 eggs, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, pecans, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
